Little Ra Ra Rosé 2015
Our 2015 rosé is built of 56% Shiraz and 29% Cabernet saignée components, with 15% Sauvignon Blanc. Fermented and matured in old oak barriques for 11 months on lees prior to bottling in Feb '16.
The saignée method involves draining juice from our Shiraz and Cabernet fruit as it enters the winery, with the immediate separation of juice from grape skin giving the resulting wine a salmon/onion skin colour. This process serves a second purpose in concentrating the remaining fruit parcel for red fermentation.
